Inbox and Verdicts
Your Inbox holds every Relevant Posting on the Boards that you watch, until you make a Decision on it. A Decision is your choice to pursue or dismiss a Posting. A Decision is the only way that a Posting leaves the Inbox. The newest Postings are at the top.
Each row shows the Posting title, the company, and the place. It also shows when a Scan first saw the Posting, and what its Verdict says. A Verdict is a judgment of how well one Posting fits you.
Beside the title, one line shows when the last Scan ran and when the next Scan is due. An example is “Last Scan 06:02 · next 06:15”.
The Inbox has two tabs: Undecided and Dismissed.
Filter and sort the Inbox
Section titled “Filter and sort the Inbox”To see one label only, choose it above the list. The choices are Strong, Stretch, Skip, and Not judged. Not judged means that the Posting has no Verdict yet. Each choice shows how many Postings it holds.
To see your best Postings first, choose Sort: Score. The Postings with a Verdict come first, with the highest Score at the top. The Postings with no Verdict come last, newest first. To go back, choose Newest. The Inbox always opens with the newest Postings first, so new Postings are at the top.
To see one company only, choose its Board in the Board list. The page address then names the Board. You can keep the link or reload the page, and the Inbox still shows only that company. If the address names a Board that you do not watch, the Inbox tells you. Select Show every Board to see all your Boards again.
To see the Postings that your Target left out, turn on Failed Relevance. Each row says why the Posting failed. Select Widen Target to open your Target.
Labels
Section titled “Labels”Each row starts with one of three labels:
- Strong, Stretch, or Skip. This is the Verdict. Beside it are the Score out of 100 and a short reason. If the row shows “capped” under the Score, a gate is not met, or the role is not open where you can work. Then the Score is 30 or less. A Skip only marks the Posting. It does not hide it, and you can still pursue it. If the row also shows “Out of date”, the Verdict is Stale.
- Judging. SuperImpress is judging the Posting now. The Verdict appears without a page reload.
- Not judged. The Posting has no Verdict yet. The row tells you why in a few words, and offers one thing to do.
A Not judged row shows one of these reasons:
- “Autopilot off”. Autopilot judges nothing until you switch it on. Select the reason to open the switch.
- “Paused until tomorrow”. Autopilot used today’s Included Verdicts on Free, or spent today’s Daily Credit Limit on Pro.
- “Paused until your Credits renew”. On Pro, Autopilot has no Credits left for a Verdict.
- “Older than 30 days”. A Scan first saw the Posting more than 30 days ago, so Autopilot leaves it alone.
- “Waiting for your Career Record”. Nothing gets a Verdict until you save a Career Record.
- “Judging soon”. Autopilot waits a short time after you edit, or while your agent works, then judges it. See After you edit.
- “Waiting for the next Scan”. Autopilot judges the Posting after the next Scan.
- “Closed on their board”. The company closed the Posting, so Autopilot leaves it alone.
Beside the reason is one action. If Autopilot can judge the Posting now, it is Judge with Autopilot. If not, and you connected an agent, it is Ask your agent. If not, it is Judge with Autopilot, locked, with what unlocks it.
On Pro, Autopilot judges your Relevant Postings for you. See Plans for Autopilot, Credits, and the Daily Credit Limit.
Autopilot today, and when it pauses
Section titled “Autopilot today, and when it pauses”With Autopilot on, the top of the Inbox shows how much it has done today, for example “Autopilot today · 38 of 60”. See Autopilot today.
When Autopilot can do no more today, one notice says “Autopilot is paused until tomorrow”, and how many Relevant Postings wait. On Free, it offers Upgrade to Pro for more Verdicts each day. On Pro, if your Credits run out, the notice says “Autopilot is paused until your Credits renew”, and when your monthly Credits return, with Buy Credits. If you connected an agent, the notice also offers Ask your agent.
The Posting page
Section titled “The Posting page”To see all of a Posting, open it. The Posting page has these parts:
- The Verdict.
- Earlier Verdicts.
- The Company Brief.
- Other Postings from the same company.
- The Posting text.
- Your Decision.
The Verdict
Section titled “The Verdict”The Verdict shows its label, its Score out of 100, and one line about why. It also shows who wrote it (Autopilot or your agent) and on which day.
Under the Score is one row for each Check. A Check is one question that every Verdict answers. The four Checks are Work, Seniority, Requirements, and Industry. Each row gives the Level in words and marks it on a scale. A Level is the answer to a Check, for example “at level”. On Seniority, a ring marks the level that the Posting asks for.
The last row is Gates. A gate is a hard requirement, for example the right to work in a country. The row lists only the gates that the Posting asks for: the right to work, a security clearance, a language, or a degree. Each gate is marked met, not met, or “your record doesn’t say”. Then the row shows the location: open to you, relocation offered, or not open where you can work. If the Posting asks for no gate, the row says “None asked”.
When Autopilot writes the Verdict, the label comes from the Score. The label is Strong at 75 or more, Stretch from 45 to 74, and Skip below 45. When your agent writes the Verdict, your agent picks the label.
These rules cap the Score and the label:
- If a gate is not met, the Score is 30 or less. An Autopilot Verdict is then Skip.
- If the role is not open where you can work, the Score is 30 or less, and the label is always Skip.
- If the role needs you to relocate, the label is Stretch or Skip, never Strong.
A red mark on the Score bar shows where the Score is capped. The first line of the Verdict says why.
Beside the Verdict, “How the Score is worked out” tells you how many points each Check adds at its best Level: Work 40, Requirements 30, Seniority 20, and Industry 10. The Score counts points out of 100. It is not your chance of getting the job.
Earlier Verdicts
Section titled “Earlier Verdicts”SuperImpress never overwrites a Verdict. A new judgment adds a new Verdict. The page shows the newest Verdict that is not Stale first. A link under it opens the earlier Verdicts.
The Company Brief
Section titled “The Company Brief”The Company Brief is the SuperImpress team’s description of the company. Every Verdict reads it. See Boards and Watches.
Also on this company
Section titled “Also on this company”The “Also on” card lists up to five other open Postings from the same Board that are in your Inbox. The best Postings are at the top. Each one shows its label, or Not judged, and opens its own page. If two Postings have the same title, each one shows its place. If there are more Postings, “See all” opens your Inbox on that Board.
A posting that you added yourself has no Board, so it does not show this card.
The Posting text
Section titled “The Posting text”The Posting text is the text that a Scan saved. SuperImpress does not load the Posting again from the company’s site, and it does not open the links in it. SuperImpress ignores any instructions in the text that speak to an AI. The company wrote the text, so your agent gets it marked as untrusted.
Asking for a Verdict
Section titled “Asking for a Verdict”A Posting with no Verdict, or with a Stale Verdict, lets you ask for one.
With Autopilot on, the button says “Judge with Autopilot” or “Re-judge with Autopilot”. It shows no price. SuperImpress puts the judgment in a queue. It counts the judgment only when it saves the Verdict. Your Daily Credit Limit does not stop a judgment that you ask for.
“Ask your agent” is always there. It leads to your agent, which judges for free. It is the only choice when Autopilot is off, when you have no Credits, and on Free once today’s Included Verdicts are used.
SuperImpress writes a Verdict only for a Relevant Posting, and only after you save a Career Record. A posting that you added yourself is different. Nothing judges it until you ask.
Decisions
Section titled “Decisions”Each Posting gives you two Decisions:
- Pursue opens an Application, and the Posting moves to your Pipeline. On Pro with Autopilot on, Pursue also starts your resume with Autopilot, and the Posting page shows its price. You cannot take back a Pursue. See Applications.
- Dismiss takes one click, and the Posting leaves the Inbox at once. The message that appears after it shows the reasons: “Wrong discipline”, “Not interested in the company”, “Location or remote policy”, “Compensation”, and “Already applied elsewhere”. Click one to save it with the dismissal. A reason is optional.
Only you make a Decision. Your agent records a Decision only when you tell it to. After you decide, you cannot change the Decision. The one exception is that you can restore a Posting that you dismissed.
Dismissed and Restore
Section titled “Dismissed and Restore”The Dismissed tab lists every Posting that you dismissed, with your reason, your note, and the date. You can open each one on its own page. On the Dismissed tab and on the Posting page, “Add a reason” or “Edit reason and note” lets you change the reason and add a note of up to 500 characters.
Restore puts a dismissed Posting back in the Inbox, with no Decision. SuperImpress deletes the old reason and note. You can also restore from the message that appears after you dismiss a Posting. You cannot restore a Posting that you pursued.
Stale Verdicts
Section titled “Stale Verdicts”A Verdict is Stale when something that it read changed after SuperImpress wrote it: the Posting text, your Target, your Work Rights, your Career Record, or the Company Brief. A change to a Link in your Career Record only does not count. If you undo the change, the Verdict is not Stale anymore.
In the Inbox, a Stale Verdict shows an “Out of date” badge beside its label.
On the Posting page, a Stale Verdict keeps its Score and the Level of each Check, in grey. Under them, one sentence says what changed, and when. An example is “Judged before your Career Record changed on 12 Sep.”
SuperImpress never overwrites a Stale Verdict. With Autopilot on, Autopilot judges the Posting again by itself while you have not decided on it, whatever changed. It uses today’s Included Verdicts, then on Pro your Daily Credit Limit and Credits, and starts with the newest Postings. While it waits its turn, the row shows Judging. If today’s allowance runs out, the rest stay Out of date until the next day. You can also select Re-judge with Autopilot on the Posting page, or ask your agent. The new Verdict shows first, and the Stale Verdict stays under it.
