Set up with your agent

Your agent can do all of setup for you. You use the app only to sign in and to allow your agent.

First, connect your agent. Then tell your agent where your résumé is, and say:

Set me up from my résumé.

Your agent reads your résumé on your computer. SuperImpress never gets the file, because no tool takes a file. SuperImpress gets only what you agree to save.

Your agent uses setup to learn what you still need and which Plan you are on. SuperImpress gives your agent these rules for setup:

  • Show you the whole proposed Target, Career Record, and Watches in the chat before it saves anything.
  • List every removal and every skill that it respells in that proposal.
  • Save only after you say yes.
  • Work in this order: Target, then Career Record, then Watches.

SuperImpress cannot force your agent to follow these rules. It can only refuse a save that breaks its own limits, such as a bullet of two sentences. If your agent saves something without your yes, tell it to follow the rules.

With that order, SuperImpress marks Relevance against your real Target, and the first Verdicts read your real Career Record. Any other order also works, and no step blocks another.

A résumé cannot say what you want. So SuperImpress tells your agent to ask you for these:

  • The titles that must match.
  • The titles that must never match.
  • Where you want to work.
  • Whether remote work is acceptable.

Your agent can calculate your years and months of experience from the dates of your roles. It must show you how it calculated them. When your agent saves the Target, SuperImpress marks Relevance at once.

SuperImpress tells your agent to copy your roles, projects, and bullets from your old resume or other documents, in your own words. A project is something that you built or made outside a role. If you have little work history, your projects are enough. A Career Record with one role or one project counts as filled.

SuperImpress does not let a bullet be more than one sentence. Your agent must ask you for a missing date or month, and not guess it. Your agent can respell a skill to match a name on the list of Skills, for example “ReactJS” to React. It must never add, merge, or drop a skill. A skill that the list does not name stays as you wrote it.

If you already have a Career Record, your agent must read it first and propose changes to it. SuperImpress does not let a save remove a role, project, or bullet unless the save names it as removed.

Your agent uses catalog to list the Boards. For each Board, the list shows how many Postings are Relevant to you. Your agent must propose Boards with its reasons, and use boards to watch only the Boards that you choose. You can watch every Board, on Free and on Pro. The Relevant Postings of a watched Board are in your Inbox at once.

Your agent tells you how many Relevant Postings in your Inbox have no Decision yet. On Free, these Postings have no Verdict until your agent judges them. Next, run a session with your agent.
