Connect your agent

Your agent connects to SuperImpress at one URL:

https://app.superimpress.com/mcp

You add this URL in your client. The client is the app that runs your agent, such as Claude Code. You do not copy a key. The first time that your agent connects, your client opens your browser so that you can sign in.

The same URL and a command to copy for each client are in the app. Open Settings, then Connect your agent.

Your browser opens at the SuperImpress sign-in screen. Do these steps:

  1. Sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google or GitHub if the screen shows them. Use the account that you use in the app. If you do not have an account, this sign-in makes one on Free.
  2. Read the Allow screen. It shows what your agent can do and what it cannot do.
  3. Select Allow. Your browser sends you back to your client, and your agent now works as you.

If you select Deny, your agent does not connect. If you use a magic link, open it in the browser that your client opened.

  1. In your terminal, run this command:

    Terminal window
    claude mcp add --transport http --scope user superimpress https://app.superimpress.com/mcp
  2. Start Claude Code and type /mcp.

  3. Select superimpress.

  4. Sign in in your browser.

With --scope user, SuperImpress is available in all your projects. Without it, SuperImpress works only in the project where you ran the command.

The steps are the same in Claude Desktop and on claude.ai.

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Select +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter SuperImpress as the name.
  4. Enter https://app.superimpress.com/mcp as the URL.
  5. Select Add.
  6. In Connectors, select Connect next to SuperImpress.
  7. Sign in in your browser.

On a Free Claude plan, you can add one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds SuperImpress for the organization in Organization settings, then Connectors. Then each member selects Connect.

The Codex CLI and the Codex desktop app read the same configuration file, ~/.codex/config.toml. When you add SuperImpress in the CLI, the desktop app has it too.

  1. In your terminal, run this command:

    Terminal window
    codex mcp add superimpress --url https://app.superimpress.com/mcp
  2. To sign in, run this command. It opens your browser.

    Terminal window
    codex mcp login superimpress

Custom apps in ChatGPT use Developer mode. Developer mode is on chatgpt.com only, and not on every ChatGPT plan. On a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace, an admin must allow it first.

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Create an app. Enter SuperImpress as the name.
  3. Enter https://app.superimpress.com/mcp as the URL.
  4. Choose OAuth for authentication.
  5. Sign in in your browser, and select Allow. Then select Create in ChatGPT.

To use SuperImpress in a chat, select Developer mode in the + menu, then select SuperImpress. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each change that your agent makes.

  1. On a computer with Cursor, open this link: cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=superimpress&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwcC5zdXBlcmltcHJlc3MuY29tL21jcCJ9. You can also select Add to Cursor on superimpress.com/mcp-agent.
  2. In Cursor, confirm that you want to add SuperImpress.
  3. Open Customize, then MCPs.
  4. When Cursor asks, sign in in your browser.

To add SuperImpress by hand, put this in ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then restart Cursor:

{
"mcpServers": {
"superimpress": {
"url": "https://app.superimpress.com/mcp"
}
}
}

Give your client the URL https://app.superimpress.com/mcp. If your client asks for a transport, choose HTTP. Some clients call it Streamable HTTP. If your client asks for a client ID or a key, leave it empty. Your client registers itself, and you sign in in your browser.

In the app, Settings, then Connect your agent, shows Connected and the time of your agent’s last call. Your agent is also in the list Agents you allowed. To make sure that your agent works, ask it: “What is new in my Inbox?”

Next, set up with your agent.
